Castlemaine Health delivers a diverse range of inpatient, outpatient and outreach services to the Shire of Mount Alexander. This includes provision of assessment, rehabilitation and allied health services to neighbouring shires. Castlemaine Health’s role within the Loddon Mallee Region has been developed to meet the needs of a growing population.
CHIRP Community Health (CHIRP) has its foundations in the community as a public benevolent organisation that has been working with the local community since 1984. CHIRP traditionally provides a wide range of services and programs aimed at designing and providing services and programs that ensure community members receive primary health, preventative care and community support which is accessible, responsive and of the highest quality. Individuals and community groups are empowered to achieve self-direction in their personal and community health.
Castlemaine Health and CHIRP have a strong connection to the shared communities in which they serve. As an integrated service, Castlemaine Health and CHIRP pool resources to get the best health and wellbeing outcomes for the community by:
• enhancing access to community health and services across the region
• strengthening services to better meet the evolving needs of the community
